About Us
Occupational Health & Safety

UNILINC recognises the importance of providing all staff, visitors and contractors with a safe and healthy work environment.

Our goal is to prevent all occupational injuries and illness. We will seek to achieve this by:

  • Identifying and reducing the risks of any activities that have the potential to produce personal injury or occupational illness
  • Providing instruction, training and supervision to improve individual's understanding of workplace hazards, including safe work practices and emergency procedures
  • Involving individuals in occupational health and safety matters and consulting with them on ways to recognise, evaluate and control workplace hazards
  • Ensuring that everyone (including visitors and contractors) complies with appropriate workplace directions to protect their own and others health and safety at work
  • Providing adequate systems and resources to effectively manage rehabilitation and return to work processes

UNILINC maintains an ongoing occupational health and safety program, including daily inspections of the workplace aimed at preventing accidents.

All staff are required to alert management of any potential hazards observed, immediately. Any hazards noted and the action taken is recorded in the OHS File. All staff are required to read the relevant procedures and codes of practice as outlined upon appointment and kept in the OHS File located near the photocopier.

Environmental Responsibility

UNILINC Office endeavours to minimise waste and to recycle as much as possible.

  • Office bins are restricted to paper and paper products and the contents are recycled
  • All paper used by the office is either made from recycled products or plantation timber
  • All publications including the Annual Report are printed using 100% recycled paper
  • Wherever possible office purchases are carried in reusable bags kept for that purpose
  • All printer consumables are recycled via specified charities

A copy of UNILINC's recycling aims and objectives is kept in the OHS File located near the photocopier.
